LETTER OF THE LOCAL HOST
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the EURAPS Research Council, I am delighted and honored to welcome you at the 12th annual meeting of ERC, which will be held at the motherland symbol of Democracy and Olympic Games, the enchanting city of Athens, 29 and 30 of May 2024.
The explosion of basic research activities and new dynamic treatments in Plastic Surgery, some of them involve studies of cell therapies, nanotechnology, tissue engineering & regenerative medicine, adipose tissue, fat grafting, scars, microsurgery, breast, lymphedema, virtual reality, 3D medical printing, wound healing, composite tissue allografts, peripheral nerve, constitute our motivation to bring together researchers from all over the world. We expect that the participants will be actively engaged in open presentations, discussions and fruitful exchange of knowledge throughout this meeting.
From this year the abstract submission period will be the same with the EURAPS, while all basic research studies will be presented exclusively in ERC. The high rated basic research papers will be included in a prime session of ERC on the “Translational Thursday”. This day both ERC and EURAPS participants are welcome in both meetings without extra registration. The abstracts of the ERC meeting will be also published in a special issue of the JPRAS.
Spring is a great time to visit Athens. The location of the venue, at the “Eugenides foundation” offers all the facilities to guarantee a successful international meeting, providing at the same time the opportunity for easy access to the most historical and cultural monuments, and the seaside.
